Robert A. Matson has worked within the financial services field since 1981. After a brief tenure with John Hancock, he became an Associate of Baystate Financial Services of Boston, MA in 1983. As an individual producer and brokerage manager, Bob worked with Baystate until starting his own financial services practice in Wellesley in 1988. Since 1996, he has served individual and business clients in the areas of retirement, estate and insurance planning from his office in Millis, MA. Robert A. Bob received a B.A. degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He earned Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant degrees from The American College of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Bob serves on the Investment Committee of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) at the national level. He is a Past President of NAIFA Massachusetts and Past National Committee Chairperson. He is a Past President of the Boston Estate Planning Council and Past President and member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals. He is an Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Principal with LPL Financial, and a Licensed Insurance Adviser in Massachusetts. In 2010, he was recognized by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils with the designation of Accredited Estate Planner.
Bob Serves on the board of advisors for the Franklin Performing Arts Company. He is a former board of director member for Strata Bank in Medway, MA and served as a senior director of their Financial Services division for several years. A former member of the FinCom in the Town of Millis, Bob is married with four adult children and is the proud grandfather of Michael, Abigail and Vivienne. He resides in Millis where he enjoys family activities, antiques, theater and road cycling.
